Harold Eastly Gordon served during the Great War as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 5th City of London Battalion - the London Rifle Brigade, London Regiment, seeing service on the Western Front, he died of wounds on 23rd February 1917, and is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery. Gordon was the husband of Gwen Gordon, of Avenue House, North Camp, Aldershot.
