1914 Star named to L-11817 Private J. Gobbey, 4th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. British War Medal and Victory Medal both named to L-11817 Private J. Gobbey, Royal Fusiliers. Memorial Plaque named to John Gobbey.

There is a small entry into the Roll of Honour which states he was the son of J. Gobbey of Putney, S.W. London, he died in Netley Hospital on 15th November 1914 from wounds received in action, he is buried in Netley Cemetery. Netley, originally from Fulham, had entered France on 21st September 1914, before being wounded and transported back to England.
