George Woolley came from Taunton, Somerset, and saw service as a Private (No.534) with the 2nd Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry, and having joined the regiment at Rangoon in Burma on 11th December 1884, was then present out in Burma during the Third Burma War. Present as part of the Tummoo Field Force on 1st November 1885, and with the Burma Field Force from 1st April 1886, Woolley died of dysentery at Ningyan in Burma on 13th June 1886. note the battalion number has been engraved twice by mistake, Nearly extremely fine
