Thomas Hall saw service as a Private (No.5946862) with the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment, and was present with the 2nd Battalion out in Palestine during the Arab Rebellion. Hall then saw service during the Second World War and was still with the 2nd Battalion during the fall of France in 1940, being wounded in action circa June 1940. At this time the 2nd Battalion fought as part of the 10th Infantry Brigade in the 4th Infantry Division, having been despatched to France in September 1939. Hall was one of those who was successfully evacuated from Dunkirk. He later saw service with the Civil Service, and was awarded the Imperial Service Medal.
