William John Reginald Evel died of wounds whilst serving with 9th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers on 16th October 1918. He had been born in Devonport. With a scroll commemorating the loss of his life in the immortal defence of Ypres. With a Christmas card for 1917 from Willie to his grandmother, when he had been serving with 1/7th London Regiment, and 3 postcard sized photographs of him in uniform, and an A4 watercolour of him in uniform.
