Second World War North West Europe and 6th Airborne Division Palestine Jewish Revolt group awarded to Private J. Coyle, Army Air Corps, who according to information supplied on purchase, saw service with the 9th (Eastern and Home Counties) Parachute Battalion, which formed part of the 1st Airborne Division in North West Europe, and took part in parachute jump during the Rhine Crossing. The battalion was sent to Palestine on internal security duty with the 6th Airborne Division during the Jewish Revolt, but was disbanded in 1947.
