A Boer War Cape Colony and Transvaal service as Body-Guard to Lord Methven and Great War German South West Africa service group awarded to Private E.D. White, Bechuanaland Rifles and later of the Rand Intelligence Corps and 1st South African Horse with whom he served as a Saddler. Along with original documents. Queens South Africa Medal 1899-1902, 2 Clasps: Cape Colony, Transvaal (316 PTE. E. WHITE. BECLAND RIF.) 1914-1915 Star (PTE. E.D. WHITE. INTELL. STAFF.) British War Medal and Victory Medal, bi-lingual reverse (PTE. E.D. WHITE. 1ST. S.A.H.) Along with officially confirmation thate Pte. E.D. White, 1st Rand Intelligence Corps had been awarded the 1914-1915 Star for his service in German South-West Africa. Demobilisation certificate stating that he had attested on 24th August 1914 and been discharged on 15th December 1916. A second discharge certificate noting that Saddler Egbert Dunsford White had attested on 27th November 1915 at Pretoria and had been discharged at Johannesburg on 12th March 1917. Also his Boer War Volunteer Discharge Certificate dated 8th July 1902 which confirms his Boer War service and that he had served in Cape Colony and Transvaal, in the later case as a Body-guard to Lord Methven.
