A career Naval officer, he was awarded the OBE in 1941 which was followed by the CB in 1956. 1937 Coronation awarded as Paymaster Commander (Temporary Paymaster Captain) R.N. 1953 Coronation awarded as Captain (S) Royal Navy. He died in Sway Hampshire in 1973. Medals with accompanying miniatures are mounted in a Spink wooden display frame.
