Masteron, 9th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers who was killed in action on 5th April 1918 and is now buried in Bouzincourt Ridge Cemetery. British War Medal and Victory Medal (2. LIEUT. F MASTERTON.) Frank Masterton first landed in France as a Warrant Officer Class 2 with the Royal Fusiliers from 15th March 1917 and was commissioned into his own unit in January 1918. He was killed in action on 5th April 1918 serving with the 9th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers and is buried in Bouzincourt Ridge Cemetery. He was 38 years old at the time of his death and is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Charles William Masteron and Emily Masterton nee Jones and the late husband of Lizzie Lowe from the Isle of Wight.
