      Boer War Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal operations and Great War Western Front 1914 Star group awarded to Private O. Taylor, 10th Royal Hussars, later 18th Hussars.

      Queens South Africa Medal 1899-1902, 5 Clasps: Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (4370 PTE. O. TAYLOR. 10TH RL. HUSSARS.) 1914 Star (47106 PTE. O. TAYLOR. 18/HRS.) British War Medal and Victory Medal (4370 PTE. O. TAYLOR. 18-HRS.) The last three mounted loose for wear, together with a ribbon for the QSA which has now fallen off.

      Condition: the last three mounted loose for wear, Good Veyr Fine

      Orlando Taylor saw service as a Private (No. 4370) with the 10th Hussars in South Africa during the Boer War where he was present on operations in Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. He would later serve in the Great War, by this time as a Private (No. 47106) with the 18th Hussars, seeing service on the Western Front from 16th August 1914.
