William George was born on 2nd July 1883 and served in the ranks from 1901 to 1925. He first landed in France on 15th August 1914 and served with the 3rd General Hospital. He was appointed Warrant Officer in 1915 and awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in Army Order 110 of 1920. He was commissioned Lieutenant and Quartermaster 20th October 1925 and finished his service as a Major and Quartermaster on 2nd July 1938. He was recalled for service in WW2 and served in the UK 1939-1945. He passed away on 2nd March 1937. Clasps mounted in the incorrect order on the QSA, mounted as worn (6) Nearly Extremely Fine
