John Elias Evans was awarded the British Empire Medal in the London Gazette of 10th June 1954 for his work as Shift Charge Engineer, Dolgarrog Hydro-Electric Station, Merseyside and North Wales Division, British Electricity Authority. The Gazette notes him as resident of Llandudno. Along with a small newspaper article that states Evans was 67 years old and had spent 52 years in the electricity industry. Nearly Extremely Fine
