He served with the Regiment in China 1860 and was present at the taking of Sinho and Tangku, the occupation of Tientsin and the surrender of Pekin. He later died in Ryde on the Isle of Wight on 18th June 1913, aged 86. A rare confirmed officially impressed medal to a Senior Officer for the China War. Good Very Fine
