      Crimean War casualty pair awarded to Private J. Phipps, 2nd Battalion, Rifle Brigade who died at Scutari on 2nd January 1856. Crimea Medal 1854-1856, 3 Clasps: Alma, Inkermann, Sebastopol officially impressed naming (J. PHIPPS. 2ND BN. RIFLE BDE.) Turkish Crimea Medal, Sardinian obverse. Joseph Phipps saw service as a Private (No. 3778) with the 2nd Battalion, Rifle Brigade and died at Scutari on 2nd January 1856. Contact marks to obverse (2) Very Fine or better
