      East and West Africa Medal 1887-1900, 1 Clasp: Benin 1897 (J. ADAMS. QD SIG. HMS ST. GEORGE.) James Adams was born in Lambeth, London on 29th July 1878 and enlisted into the Royal Navy on 29th July 1896. He served aboard HMS St. George during the Benni operations in 1897. He continued to serve in the Royal Navy until he sadly passed away at the Royal Naval Hospital at Haslar on 30th September 1915 and is buried in Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery. Nearly Extremely Fine
