Complete with the recipients original Regular army certificate of service, 2x original letters with regards to the recipients discharge & a letter dated 2005 with regards to the recipients very late claim for his medal. John Stanley Simons was born 19-10-1938 & enlisted in to the Regular army at Lancaster 23-1-58. He spent a three month spell in the Arabian Peninsular between July & October of 1958 along with spells in East Africa both prior to and after this service. In 1959 his regiment amalgamated & became the Kings own royal border regiment & in September of 1960 the recipient transferred to the Loyal regiment in Germany & took his final discharge in January 1961. He never claimed his GSM until 2005 when he made a very late claim & as such his medal is correctly lazer engraved as it should be very a medal issued at that time.
