Victor Thomas George Taylor was born in Islington, London on 15th October 1930 and joined as a recruit on 21st February 1949, he would be appointed a short service commission Pilot Officer on 30th August 1950, this being gazetted on 10th October 1950, a Flying Officer on 30th August 1951, being gazetted on 16th October 1951. Flight Lieutenant on 26th May 1955, gazetted on 21st June 1955. He would be given a Permanent Commission as a Flight Lieutenant as a Navigator on 1st October 1956 this being gazetted on 9th April 1957 and finally a Squadron Leader on 1st July 1966. He had seen service at 120 Squadron at Kinloss, the Maritime Operational Training Unit at St. Mawgan and as part of the HQ Coastal Command amongst other appointments. Nearly Extremely Fine
