      Great War 1914 Star trio awarded to Private D. Hamilton, 2nd Battalion, Highland Light Infantry who saw service on the Western Front from 21st September 1914 and was killed in action on 16th May 1915 and is now commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. 1914

      Great War 1914 Star trio awarded to Private D. Hamilton, 2nd Battalion, Highland Light Infantry who saw service on the Western Front from 21st September 1914 and was killed in action on 16th May 1915 and is now commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. 1914 Star British War Medal and Victory Medal (9320 PTE. D. HAMILTON. 2/HIGH.L.I.) Duncan Hamilton first landed in France 21-9-1914 serving with the 2nd battalion of the Highland Light Infantry. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 16-5-1915 & was both born & enlisted in Edinburgh.He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. Complete with Medal Index Cards details along with details from both Soldiers Died and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. (3) Nearly Extremely Fine
