      Great War Battle of Le Cateau Prisoner of War 1914 Star and original bar trio awarded to Private E. Minett, 2nd Battalion, Essex Regiment who was declared missing after the Battle of Le Cateau on 26th August 1914 and later being confirmed a Prisoner at Senne Prisoner of War Camp.

      Group of 3: 1914 Star, original 5th Aug-22nd Nov (8127 PTE. E. MINETT. 2/ESSEX R.) British War Medal and Victory Medal (8127 PTE. E. MINETT. ESSEX. R.)

      Condition: Mounted loose for wear, Good Very Fine

      Edgar Minett saw service with the 2nd Battalion, Essex Regiment on the Western Front and is noted by the Red Cross as being missing from 26th August 1914 after the Battle of Le Cateau, he was later confirmed as a Prisoner of War being held at the Prisoner of War Camp at Senne on 31st January 1915. The Red Cross confirmed this to his next of kin Mrs. H. Minett of 10 Station Road, Braintree.
