      Great War Battle of the Ancre casualty trio awarded to Private R. Jackson, 1st/8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders who was killed in action on 13th November 1916 and is buried at Maillywood Cemetery, Mailly-Maillet. 1914-1915 Star (2610 PTE. R. JACKSON. A. & S. HIGHRS.) British War Medal and Victory Medal (2610 PTE. R. JACKSON. A. & S. HIGHRS.) Robert Jackson was born in Carlise, Cumberland and saw service as a Private (No. 2610) with the 1st/8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and was killed in action on 13th November 1915, the first day of the Battle of the Ancre and is buried in Maillywood Cemetery, Mailly-Maillet. He is noted as the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson of 34 Cald Cotes, Carlisle. (3) Nearly Extremely Fine
