      Great War casualty pair awarded to Private E.W. Robinson, 4th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment who was killed in action on 16th August 1917 and is now buried in La Laiterie Military Cemetery. British War Medal and Victory Medal (45946 PTE. E.W. ROBINSON. WORC.R.) Ernest William Robinson was both born, enlisted & lived in Birmingham. He first served overseas with the 4th battalion of the Worcester Regiment & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 16-8-1917. He was only 20 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in La Laiterie military cemetery. The C.W.G.C state that he was the late son of Thomas & Rebecca Robinson of back 134 Sherlock Street, Birmingham. Complete with MIC details. Along with details from both SDGW & the CWGC.
