British War Medal and Victory Medal (23449 PTE. T. BURKE. W.RID.R.) Thomas Burke was both born & enlisted in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire & originally first served overseas with the 8th service battalion of the West Riding Regiment. He transferred to the K.R.R.C & was posted to the 1/16th battalion of the London Regiment. with service number 43621. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders on 17th June 1918 and is buried in Dainville British cemetery. Along with SDGW details & details from the CWGC. (2) Nearly Extremely Fine
