Great War Mons Trio awarded to Gunner R. Ash, Royal Marine Brigade who saw service at Ostend from 27th to 31st August 1914. 1914 Star (R.M.A. 3434 GUNNER R. ASH. R.N. BRIGADE) British War Medal and Victory Medal (R.M.A. 3434. GR. R. ASH.) Robert Ash was born in Belfast 1865 and enlisted in to the Royal Marine Artillery in London 1887. He was invalided from the service in 1907 but recalled on the outbreak of WW1. He served at Ostend from 27th TO 31st of August 1914 and was finally discharged to a pension in 1919. He died in January 1962 age 96. (3) Good Very Fine
