Great War Mons trio awarded to Private A. Foster, 2nd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, later Gunner, Royal Artillery who saw service on the Western Front from 7th November 1914. 1914 Star (L-13599 PTE. A. FOSTER. 2/MIDDX. R.) British War Medal and Victory Medal (90283 GNR. A. FOSTER. R.A.) Albert Foster was a member of the 3rd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment but first landed in France on 7th November 1914 serving with the 2nd Battalion. He later transferred to serve with the Royal Field Artillery and was discharged at the wars end. He is entitled to the August to November clasp for the ribbon of his 1914 Star and this is confirmed on both this Medal Index Card and the Medal roll. Sadly the clasp is missing from the group.
