      Great War Mons Trio awarded to Private A.J. Mason, 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment who saw service on the Western Front from 13th August 1914 and was wounded in France on 15th May 1915. 1914 Star (8941 PTE.A.J. MASON. 1/GLOUC.R.) British War Medal and Victory Medal (8941 PTE. A.J. MASON. GLOUC.R.) Alfred.Jas.Mason enlisted in to the Gloucester Regiment on 24th June 1908 and first landed in France on 13th August 1914 serving with the 1st Battalion. He was wounded in France on 15th May 1915 and went on to transfer to the Labour Corps with service number 270312.He was discharged with a silver war badge due to sickness on 15th March 1919. The August to November 1914 clasp is a period tailors copy of the slide on variety
