LYNESS. R.N.R.) British War Medal and Victory Medal (LIEUT.COMMR. R.B. LYNESS. R.N.R.) Robert Bannister Lyness was born in Lisburn in 1874 and was commissioned into the Royal Naval Reserve in 1903. He was awarded the Royal Naval Reserve Decoration in 1918 and retired at his own request in 1920. He passed away in 1947 and did not participate in WW2.
