British War Medal and Victory Medal (2649 PTE. A. SMITH. LPOOL. R.) Albert Smith was a member of the 1/10th Battalion, Liverpool Regiment Liverpool Scottish and first landed overseas on 1st November 1914. He was admitted to hospital due to frost on 17th October 1914 and returned to the UK on 28th December 1914. He did not return to France until February 1917 when he as sent to France as a musketry instructor with the 2/10th Battalion. He was sadly admitted to hospital in the UK in February 1918 due to shell shock and was given a medical discharge in 1919. (3) Good Very Fine
