Great War Western Front Military Medal group awarded to Private, later Serjeant H. Morrell, 611th Motor Transport Company, Army Service Corps who having seen service on the Western Front from 20th October 1915 was awarded a Military Medal in the London Gazette of 12th June 1918 for his service whilst attached to the 44th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. He later died in service on 26th June 1918 and is buried Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension. Henry Morrell was born in Wilmslow, Cheshire and was a resident of Southport when he enlisted there. He saw service on the Western Front from 20th October 1915 and sadly died in service on 26th June 1918 serving with the 611th Motor Transport Company, Army Service Corps, he was awarded the Military Medal for service in France in the London Gazette of 12th June 1918 whilst attached to the 44th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery He is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension.
