      Mons Trio and Territorial Force Efficiency Medal group awarded to Corporal, later Serjeant J. Brannen, Northumberland Yeomanry. 1914 Star British War Medal, Victory Medal and Territorial Force Efficiency Medal, GVR, named to 77 Corporal, later Serjeant J. Brannen, Northumberland Yeomanry. John Brannen first landed in France on 5th October 1914 serving with the 1/1st Northumberland Hussars Yeomanry. He enlisted in 1908 and was discharged in 1916. He is mentioned on page 136 of the Regimental History with regards to securing the horses and sorting out biller at Becque. Complete with Medal Index Card and other basic research details.
