Officer’s Western Front casualty pair to one of two men, the first Second Lieutenant Charles Pascow Wood, 4th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment who died of wounds on 18th April 1918 and is now buried in Haringhe (Bandaghem) Military Cemetery, the second, Second Lieutenant Clement Percy Wood, 2nd Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment was killed on 21st November 1917 and having no known grave is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial.

Second Lieutenant Charles Pascoe Wood, 4th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment who died on 18th April 1918 and who is buried in Haringhe (Bandaghem) Military Cemetery. He is noted as the son of Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Wood of 172 Spring Bank, Hill, he was the husband of Elsie Wood of 81 Witham, Hull. Born at Plymouth. The War Office Daily List of 8th May 1918 notes him as having been wounded at an earlier date and also that he was attached to the Sherwood Foresters. The Daily List of 14th May 1918 goes on to note that having been reported wounded, he had now died of those wounds. The second possibility is Second Lieutenant Clement Percy Wood, 2nd Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment who died on 21st November 1917 and is the son of Frederick and Harriette Wood of Oak Lea, Godley, Cheshire. Having no known grave he is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
