      Queens Sudan Medal 1896-1898 (4477 PTE. L.C. SMEDLEY. 2/R. BDE.) Lester C. Smedley saw service during the reconquest of the Sudan including during the capture of Khartoum. He would alter be present in South Africa during the Boer where he would be present during the Defence of Ladysmith. He died of Enteric Fever at Ladysmith on 3rd April 1900. Mounted for display. Good Very Fine
