Wager, Yorkshire Hussars and Royal Armoured Corps. 1939-1945 Star Africa Star Defence Medal War Medal Efficiency Medal, GVIR 1st type with Territorial Suspender (322970 TPR. J. WAGER. YORKS. H). The recipient served with the Yorkshire Hussars / R.A.C in the Western desert & was awarded his efficiency medal in army order 48 of 1946. He did not bother to apply for his WW2 campaign medals until 1985 and I have no doubt he was reminded to do so by the 40th anniversary of the end of the war. NEF & Mounted as worn.
