General Service Medal 1918-62, Geo VI, 1st type bust 1 Clasp: Palestine (4975831 PTE. A.E. PHIPPS. FORESTERS.) 1939-45 Star Africa Star Defence Medal and War Medal. Recipient was serving with 1st Battalion, Notts & Derby Regiment when he was first reported as missing in Cyrenaica on 20th June 1942. He was then confirmed as both wounded and a prisoner of war in German hands. He became POW number 226066 in camp 4D at Torgau in Saxony.
