Second World War Territorial Force Efficiency Medal group awarded to Private P.G. Cook, 2/5th Battalion, Queens Regiment, along with original paperwork. 1939-45 Star Africa Star Italy Star Defence Medal War Medal Efficiency Medal, GVIR 1st type bust, Territorial Suspension (1469225.PTE.P.G.COOK.QUEENS.) Peter George Cook was born 10th August 1921 and enlisted in to the Royal Artillery on 30th May 1939. He was called up for war service on 24th August 1939 and continued to serve with the Royal Artillery in the Middle East & Mediterranean until 11th July 1944 when he transferred to the 2/5th battalion of the Queen's Regiment. He was discharged on 14th August 1946 and was awarded the efficiency medal in Army Order 119 of 1946. Complete with the recipients call up papers, paybook, discharge book, certificate of transfer to the reserve & service card. Along with copy army order details. The paperwork is well used and shows signs of age. Court-mounted as worn by the veteran with the incorrect later ribbon on the Efficiency Medal, Good Very Fine
