H.E. LODGE. K.R.R.C.) With a silver sports medal. Harry Edmund Lodge saw service as a Private (No. A-3028) with the 21st Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps on the Western Front from 19th May 1915 and died of wounds on 14th August 1917. He was born in St. Clements, Birmingham and enlisted in Birmingham. Having no known grave he is remembered on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, and is noted as the late son of Charles and Agnes lodge of 3 Brighton Terrace, Railway Terrace, Birmingham and the late husband of Maud Elizabeth Lodge of Great Francis Street, Birmingham. The small silver sports medal is named on the reverse as a member of the 1st Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps and is dated 1911-12 from the Senior Division, Aldershot Command Football League and if hallmarked.
