A. METHVEN. R. SCOTS.) Alexander Methven first landed in France on 29th June 1915 serving with the 11th (Service) Battalion, Royal Scots. He was killed in action on 27th January 1917 and is buried in the Faubourg DAmiens Cemetery near Arras. He was born in Forfar and enlisted in Glasgow whilst living in Newton Merans, Renfrewshire.
