      Western Front casualty 1914-1915 trio awarded to Private A. Methven, 11th (Service) Battalion, Royal Scots who having served on the Western Front on 29th June 1915 and was killed in action on 27th January 1917 being buried in Faubourg DAmiens Cemetery. 1914-1915 Star British War Medal and Victory Medal (20911 PTE. A. METHVEN. R. SCOTS.) Alexander Methven first landed in France on 29th June 1915 serving with the 11th (Service) Battalion, Royal Scots. He was killed in action on 27th January 1917 and is buried in the Faubourg DAmiens Cemetery near Arras. He was born in Forfar and enlisted in Glasgow whilst living in Newton Merans, Renfrewshire.
